Mission Statement
The purpose of Christian Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) is to provide students k4 to 12th grade with the opportunity to participate in a fine arts education under the instruction of highly qualified Christian instructors devoted to serving and developing the talents of our youth today to bring glory to God in all that they do.
Program – The Academy
The Christian Academy of Fine Arts focuses on providing homeschooled students with the opportunity to participate in a fine arts education under the instruction of highly qualified Christian instructors devoted to serving and developing their talents for the glory of god.
The foundation of our program is the academy that meets Tuesday mornings from nine to twelve. It consists of a four class rotation: theater, art, music and history. All classes are taught through the lens of a historical, Christian worldview based on our belief in the classical education approach.
The world is full of knowledge, and finding the links between fields of study can be a mind.
A classical education meets this challenge by taking history as its organizing outline — beginning with the ancients and progressing forward to the moderns in history, science, literature, art and music. Susan Wise Bauer
Electives
Our afternoon program allows students to delve into their passions by taking electives that provide more in-depth study in specific fields. From oil painting to band and theatrical productions, we have something for everyone. See course descriptions for more information.
CAFA is located at 11815 interstate 10 E, Orange, TX. They will be at the SETX Homeschool Expo – come by and visit with staff to see if it’s a good fit for your family.
