Vanguard in Beaumont, TX Offers a University Model That Works

          Located on the campus of  First United Methodist Church in Beaumont, this school provides an option for those whose schedules do not allow them to fully create an academic program for the homeschool student, but want to experience the benefits of having their children at home participating in family learning opportunities. Vanguard Classical Academy is a non-denominational Christian, Classical, University-Model School that offers students a Christ-centered college-preparatory education. Students at this school spend 2-3 days per week, on campus, in a traditional classroom setting, and the remaining 2 days at home, completing teacher guided assignments and projects.

        Each of these activities offer students the opportunity to grow in their understanding of what it means to be part of the Christian community. No education is complete without teaching students to mirror the creativity of God through the arts and recreation. There are four main categories of activity that are available to students outside of the classroom: Arts/Drama, Athletics and Community Service and Distinctive Events. These school events are opportunities to develop character and teamwork, deepen friendships, and promote school spirit, all while supporting the Christian, Classical Mission of Vanguard.
